Why Do Search for Narnia?

Hello Narnia fans! My name is Alyianna, and I just happen to be Lucia's sister. I will be doing two guest posts on this very nice blog. :)

Have you ever felt that curiousity, that longing, that urge to search in your closet? Have you ever been disappointed when you didn't find Narnia behind the dresses or coats or other articles of clothing there?

Why do so many of us wish to find Narnia? Perhaps it is because Narnia is a mystical land with creatures in it much more interesting than our ordinary animals - and even their bears and rabbits and horses can talk just like we do! Or perhaps its is because of the adventures that take place there - our day-to-day lives seem pretty boring compared to Polly and Digory and Peter and Susan and Edmund and Lucy and Eustace and Jill's adventures in Narnia, don't they? Or maybe it's because good always seems to conquer evil. Aslan is always there to help you when you get in a bad scrape. When Narnia comes to an end, we discover that we are just coming to the beginning of the real Narnia.

So we search. Our hearts long to find Narnia, but yet our minds tell us that it can never be. It's just a fantasy story, it's only made-up...right?

But in our world, life can be rich and beautiful, too. Leaving city life is a breath of fresh air in itself. That's why I love the Rocky Mountains so much. Staying there for only a little feels like an adventure in itself.

And good can conquer evil in our world, too - if you're on the right side. You can find that side by following Jesus. For didn't Aslan himself say that he was in our world, too - just known by another name?

We can also hope and dream on. Someday, we may find Narnia. Perhaps Narnia and Heaven are one.

Oh! You're here? How nice!

And while you are here, please comment all you like, as long as it does not attack God.
