Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair

The C.S. Lewis Company announced an agreement today with the Mark Gordon Company to bring The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair to the screen.
Gordon (Saving Private Ryan, Speed, Source Code) said in a statement announcing the companies' intent to develop and produce The Silver Chair, "Like many readers, both young and old, I am a huge fan of C.S. Lewis's beautiful and allegorical world of Narnia. These fantasy stories inspire real-world passion among millions of devoted fans around the world. As we prepare to bring the next book to life, we are humbled and excited to contribute to the outstanding legacy of Narnia."
Gordon and Gresham will produce The Silver Chair along with Vincent Sieber, the LA based Director of The C.S. Lewis Company. The screenplay adaptation of C.S. Lewis' fourth Narnia novel is now in development.
No word yet if Fox will return as the distributor of The Silver Chair or if any of the cast from the previous films will reprise their roles. The Silver Chair's returning characters include Aslan (voiced by Liam Neeson in the movies), Eustace Scrubb (played by Will Poulter in Dawn Treader), and a now elderly king Caspian (who was portrayed as a young prince in the last two Narnia films by Ben Barnes.
